As human beings, our physical senses tend to take precedence in our life – what we presently or habitually have seen, heard, smelled, tasted and touched influences our thoughts, feelings, actions, and general direction

  •  News headlines say the economy is bad? – We tighten up and brace for hardship
  • Spouse, best friend or someone we look up to hears about our big idea and shoots it down? – It crashes and burns along with their feedback.

I would like to invite you to think a little differently. Actually, a lot differently. Ask yourself the following question:

If you’ve followed my father, Bob Proctor, you’ve likely heard him say that we create our own economy. It’s so true. While it can be useful to be aware of what the larger, more global economy is doing – we should not base our decisions or fate on what’s going on there.

Instead, we should tune in with our mind and our heart to an idea that sets our soul on fire in a very good way – and create the desired end result, working from the inside.

More millionaires were created during the Great Depression than at any other time in US history. That alone is proof that outside forces don’t have to dictate your ability to create.

The same truth applies to your health. If you currently find yourself in any variety of dis-ease, such as being overweight, diabetic, dealing with cancer or anything else – I invite you to stop focusing on what appears to be, and begin focusing on the way you want things to be.

Your spiritual DNA is perfect. And when acknowledged and effectively commanded, you can LET your spiritual DNA influence your physical DNA back into wholeness.

I challenge you to ask yourself this question every day, if not multiple times per day:

A belief is just a thought that you keep thinking. To change your belief, change the way you think about it over a period of time – and the belief will change.

  • If you’ve believed you’re limited to a certain income ceiling, shift that thought and belief.
  • If you’ve believed that you’re destined to a certain level of health, shift that thought and belief.
  • If you’ve believed that your relationships have to stay a certain way, shift that thought and belief.

There are many times in my life when I had a goal that I initially let outside forces influence my decision of whether or not to go for it:

  • When Cory and I built our custom home in the Pacific Northwest
  • When I decided to move to Florida and make a fresh start for myself
  • When I decided to get into Real Estate in my 20s and become a top agent nationwide very quickly
  • When I purchased one of my dream cars – a 1962 Austin Healey
  • When I decided to invite Cory to shift our relationship from “just friends and business colleagues” to “more” 🙂

In my book, My Father Knew the Secret – on my YouTube Channel – and on Instagram, you can find me sharing details about all of these stories, so I won’t make this blog post longer than it needs to be by re-sharing them here.

But what’s important for you to know right now in this moment is that the only limits are those that you allow your mind to impose upon itself.

You deserve to live a charmed life – and wouldn’t it be silly if the only thing standing between you and that life were a few, counter-productive, limiting beliefs, heavily influenced by outside forces?

Allow … and then:

Once you’ve decided to start working from the inside out, not giving that much weight to the outside forces – the next potential obstacle that usually comes up is not being able to see the whole path ahead that connects you to where you want to go from where you are now.

The absence of a clear and full plan often stops people before they’ve even gotten started.

Follow Stevie Wonder’s advice: Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing! Life is very rarely linear. The only step you need to know on your path is the one currently in front of you. It starts with your decision to go for your dream or goal. That’s already the first step. From there, the next step will become obvious, and then the next.

If you’re a parent, you can relate this concept to what you’ve experienced in parenting. There is so much that goes into this role, and there are thousands of things that you never would have imagined you wanted or needed to know, that you discovered along the way. But the way you did it is just taking one step at a time, doing your best in the moment, trusting that things will work out.

Lastly, just like staying in charge of your emotions and responses when your kids are challenging you… it’s important that you remember:

Just note there’s two of you that take turns steering the wheel of your life: the “YOU” limited by perceptions, and the “YOU” empowered by your divine nature.

I encourage you to remind yourself of this every day and let your divine self take the wheel much more often. With repetition, this will be your new default nature, and life will feel very different – which will have positive effects for everyone.
