If you have ever heard my father talk about his book holder, then you know the value it held for him.
I remember when he spoke of first seeing one. It was during a meeting he had with Earl Nightingale in Earl’s office. Dad immediately noticed a book held upright and open on a stand on Earl’s desk.
Dad asked Earl why he would have the book open to just one spot like that. Earl’s reply was simple, “Bob, as you know, if you want to change anything, it requires repetition. I pick something from a book that I feel will help me shift to a higher vibration. I study the idea until it becomes part of my new paradigm.”
Dad immediately went out, found a book holder, and did the same thing. He had the book he was studying opened to a specific page. He would study the message on that page until he felt he understood it well enough to explain it to a child.
Over the years, Dad had several different book-holders… none were perfect.
As you can imagine, my father was tough to buy presents for on special occasions. Several years ago, my daughter Leanne made it her mission to design the perfect book-holder for her grandfather. It took time and trial and error, but she got there!
I can still remember the look on my Dad’s face when Leanne gave it to him. He LOVED it! In fact, he loved it so much that he said she needed to have more made so she could sell them.
Dad wanted everyone to understand the importance of studying this way, and he knew this unique tool would help to get them there.
My father used that book holder until the end of his life. The book holder still sits on his desk, opened and highlighted with handwritten notes on the page he was studying in The Hidden Power by Thomas Troward, Chapter 9 – pages 92-93.
I was so proud of what my daughter Leanne had created for her grandfather – this is my opportunity to share it with you.
Wow so touching! Leanne inspired to create this for her grandpa. This is a craft of granddaughter’s love.
It was very special when Leanne gave him the gift. She was very proud of it.
Wow I remember Bob showing this on one of his live events and I remember taking down the name of it as he really sold it! After the event I must have misplaced the paper I had written it on. That was a few years ago and I have never forgot it and always used to ask myself to try and remember where I put it but it never showed up. Then I moved into my first office a few months back and thought that book holder Bob spoke about would serve me well on my desk and boom here it is! I have ordered it and it is now on my way to me! As you father always said and is my favourite quote, “If you can see it in your mind you can hold it in your hand.” and that will be true for me very soon! Thank you Brian xx
